OBITUARY OF DOROTHY CHAPUT

Dorothy E. (Chaput) Rogers, age 70, died peacefully at her home on April 4, 2008, after a long fight with cancer.

After retiring, she started her own business called "Sewing with Patience", making 18th century clothing. As her interest in history grew, she joined the Billerica Historical Society, and also volunteered in elementary schools playing 18th century music on the hammered dulcimer.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Blaise Rogers of Pelham, NH, and Brian and Sheila Rogers of Brookline, NH; one daughter, Monica Clare Rogers of Billerica; two brothers, Roland Chaput of Arlington and Maurice Chaput of Chelmsford; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Andrew, Jeremy and Kelly Rogers; and her two godsons, Thomas and James Chaput. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 5th. A Funeral Mass will follow in St. Theresa Church, Billerica, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
